Sam Burkett is a UK based dancer and choreographer. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, he trained extensively in musical theatre before moving to Scotland to pursue a degree in Politics at the University of Edinburgh. Following his degree, Sam received the international student bursary to train with the Jasmin Vardimon Company as a member of JV2.
Sam has performed in works across the UK, US, Belgium and Australia by a variety of choreographers including Jasmin Vardimon, Anna Kenrick, and Teresa Chapman. His choreography has been shown in both the UK and US. His solo work, Crop Tops Make Me Feel Vulnerable, won the Best of Anything Goes Award at the 2018 Houston Fringe Festival. As an educator, Sam has delivered classes and workshops for children and young people, professional dancers, and people with learning disabilities.
